That's how older daughter used to say "happy new year" about 25 years ago.

Today I would like to make a lot of new year's revolutions and also figure out a way to make a living this year and also maybe watch a football game. And also there is a party to which Dear Wife Betty tells me I must go in mid-afternoon.

In light whereof, I'm going to go outside and rake some leaves.

But here's wishing y'all a 2008 which does not totally shit the bed. Amen.

It's all oak trees here. Some have yet to give up their leaves. I don't like raking leaves in January, but it's OK. Good exercise. The worst thing is if you don't get them up until March & April when the daffodils & croci and irises are poking through. Then you just have a big mess.
