In my online dealings with REC I have found him to be a conscientious poster, who never fails to reveal his feelings positive or negative about the subject at hand.

His written diaries about the utter stupidity and ongoing cluelessness at your corporation have long been a source of considerable mirth.  Indeed, REC's diaries regarding his My-Head-Shaped-Dent and Root Cause 17: Fuckwit are a favorite around my keyboard.

Please if you must hire him away from his current shit position, please make sure that he is at LEAST as miserable as he is now, or only a tiny bit less.  I shudder to think what I would do without his reliable stories of workplace misery.  He has truly  been a boon to my browser.

It is with a glad heart and firm mind that I recommend you install REC into a new situation where hilarity can ensue.  Considering the state of your company, I can't imagine that would be too hard to find.

I would also ask that you please make sure his co-workers are eccentric and bordering on batshite insane, for these stories provide much mirth as well.

In conclusion, REC will make a fine upstanding employee who will fix many problems for you, at least before the blood pressure and drinking kill him.

Sincerest Regards,

Gedvondur

What Gedvondur said. And seriously, good luck with the job hunt, REC. I hope it works out.

Last Friday I had trout filets for lunch and trout in a pepper sauce for dinner. On Saturday I had lox for lunch and dinner. On Sunday I ate rainbox trout. On Monday I had trout filets for lunch and linguini with salmon in a coconut milk & curry sauce for dinner. On Tuesday it was a pepper-salmon filet for lunch. Wednesday I had tuna, yesterday was octopus and also a can of sardines, and last night BG cooked salmon and cod with a Fritessaus.

We have a number of Englishmen working for us by FlightTest (2.00 / 0) #3 Fri Jan 25, 2008 at 12:32:03 AM EST
and Englishwomen as well. They all said the same thing you did when they first came here from our European division to 'help out'. Some never went home after from the first trip, the rest were convinced by the end of their second trip to decide to move here permanently. It's got to the point that our European division is loathe to send anyone here for fear of losing another one.

Oh, and, WIPO: I'll fly up there and we'll go flying sometime.

Aren't you in Arizona? by wiredog (4.00 / 1) #5 Fri Jan 25, 2008 at 07:47:59 AM EST
Where the climate is a damn sight nicer than, say, Leeds?

I travel frequently to Yuma for business though. I'm leaving Sunday, in fact.

I have a hard enough time keeping track of what continent people are on now, much less which ones they've live on.

Also, we're not interested in hiring anyone that requires compensation. And it's clown, Wonderclown.

Good luck with the search.
