safe injection sites are places where junkies can go. they are staffed by people, occasionally nurses, who collect used needles, give out new ones, and tell everyone the safe ways to handle, collect, dispose of needles. they also give out other things, like ampules of sterile water, swabs to clean injection sites, bandaids, condoms, ascorbic acid powder (to cut the stuff with) and little metal spoon things. harm reduction stuff.
when someone ods there, then they can bundle them up and throw them in the hospital too. [ Parent ]
